Did You Know?

Do You Know About This?

Dear Patient,

I’m going to reveal something to you today that you most likely don’t know about or have never taken the time to think about. But don’t worry. I’m here to share, so when I share this with you, I hope you’ll be so kind as to pass this on to someone you care about.

Okay let’s get started.

The body does not perform as a cluster of separate mechanisms, but rather a cascade of events that all starts with proper control by you guessed it… your nervous system.

The nerves that travel through and control every function of your body originate at the spinal cord and their transmission can be disrupted if your joints of the surrounding spinal column are not moving properly.

This disruption in something called biomechanical integrity combined with altered physiological function is what I call a subluxation. There is a relationship between your spinal nerves exiting the vertebra and branching off to the various organ systems of your body.

You can see why it is NOT uncommon for me as your chiropractic specialist to treat a patient with mid-back pain - who also suffers from irritable bowel system, a patient with a subluxated (misaligned and out of position) sacrum who has been unsuccessfully trying to become pregnant, or a patient with an upper back fixation that has acid reflux.

Whether you know it or not, everything is related to your nervous system. Even Gray’s Anatomy tells you that the nervous system controls everything, and if there is pressure, something is going to happen to the function of that organ or tissue that has the disruption.

Share this email with someone you care about because there are so many people that don’t really know what we do as doctors of chiropractic.
